JOBOS-small.mp4

Also known as the Demon of hunger. Jobos is a formidable antagonist and the leader of one of the Kazegami tribes an ID known for their adaptability, survival instinct, and defiance against the structured city of Keshuma.

Who’s Jobos?

He carries himself with commanding confidence. A man whose raw physical strength mirrors his sharp, calculating mind. His armour, crafted from scavenged Kazegami materials, is more than protection; it’s a symbol of resilience and ingenuity. Every piece tells a story of battles fought and victories claimed in the unforgiving lands beyond the city walls.

While his appearance radiates brute power, Jobos is far from a mindless warrior. Beneath the surface lies a strategist- patient, manipulative, and aware of the smallest shifts in those around him. His voice is calm yet charged with dominance, often laced with playful arrogance. He provokes others not out of cruelty, but out of hunger. A yearning for competition strong enough to challenge him.

The Kazegami whisper of Windtech, technology they have built from scavenged remnants of old machinery. Some say it channels forces even greater than those described in the ancient hieroglyphs — weapons once capable of changing the world itself. Jobos wears this power like a second skin. Whether he seeks mastery over it or to awaken something far older remains uncertain.

“Need I remind you who I am?”

No one knows what Jobos truly desires, only that beneath his charisma lies the storm.

Creator’s Note

How Jobos came to life says a lot about his character.

When we first started working on the trailer, there wasn’t even a villain in the story. We just needed a moment to show what happens when someone isn’t compatible with the Artefact — a head explosion, plain and simple. To demonstrate that impact, we needed a character who could be killed off. No complex design, no backstory, just a body for the blast.

But as often happens when I start creating, I went deeper. I wanted him to feel powerful, because that would amplify the Artefact’s power — like saying, “If it can destroy him, imagine what it can do.” So I made him strong, intimidating, visually striking.

I’ve always been fascinated by anime designs from the ’80s and ’90s — the ones that sometimes make no sense, but look incredibly cool. Jobos was born from that same mindset.

As always, I showed the design to Jeff and Kev for a quick reaction. What was meant to be a simple throwaway character immediately got a different kind of response. They said what I was already thinking: “He looks way too good to kill off.”

The funny part is — this was before Metora even existed, before the idea of respawning entered our story. Back then, death meant death.

Like I said at the start, Jobos’ creation says a lot about him. He wasn’t supposed to exist — but he forced himself into the story, took control, and somehow dominated the entire narrative of the trailer. Now, it’s impossible to imagine the world of Final Bosu without him.
